Side-by-side comparison: Internet Explorer 9 vs. Google Chrome 11 DEV
Immediately after release of Windows Internet Explorer 9 I made a small test in Acid3 test. On the picture below you can see side-by-side comparison of two internet browsers – mention IE9 and Google Chrome 11 DEV channel version.
As you can see on the picture – Google Chrome has reached 100 points in Acid3 test – but… the result does not look like as a reference rendering. Winner of this comparison is IE9 at this time but once we consider that Chrome is just DEV version – hmmm.. who is the winner? For me is Google Chrome for its speed and functions.
Comparison of prime 35mm lenses made by Nikon
You can watch very nice and detailed comparison of prime 35mm lenses myde by Nikon on the following link. I am very proud and happy that my 35 f/1.8 lens have very good performance on DX body.
Cleaning up
Today I made som cleaning of posts which were posted from my twitter account. By today there will not be any separate posts published from my tweets. It is useless.
Language module – english version
After long testing I managed to enable language translation tool so the articles will be available in more languages. Just because Slovak language is not my best I decided to publish articles also in English language.
It will take a time to translate all posts. I will translate and edit posts as soon as possible to English language. If you find a bug or any error in translation (not possible!), write an email to bugs@data-info.org.
Battle of prime 50s’
I recommend you to watch a great video made by DigitalRev.com guys. Great comparison (battle?) of prime 50s’ lenses with Nikon F bayonet.
Personally I use one of those lenses which is Nikkor 50 f/1.8 AF-D and I am very satisfied with it. It is a little bit noisy but outdoors (where I shoot mostly) I do not care about that a lot. Worse is to shoot with it inside buildings (like church) where the lens is really noisy and annoying for the rest of the crew. Once I consider this small issue I would prefer to buy newer lens made by Nikon which is Nikkor 50 f/1.4 AF-S. I bought the older one which was much cheaper. Personally it is the best portrait lens for Nikon DX cameras of course if you do not want to spent 350 € for newer Nikkor 50 f/1.4 AF-S. However check the video battle of prime lenses below – Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8 AF-D, Nikkor 50 mm f/1.4 AF-S and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 (HSM?).
Update of photo gallery Len tak…
I have added new photos to gallery Len tak…. Photos were taken last year during trip to the far east of Slovakia – at National park called Poloniny.
Photo gallery – Benjamín Mačacia láska
I have added new photo gallery with shots of my (ours) cat called Menjamín Mačacia láska. You can watch gallery here.
Back-focus, front-focus… How to test you lens for mentioned issues?
Follow this link – Backfocus test manual – where you will find document with description of how to test your lens for so called Front-focus or Back-focus error. I recommend this to all of you in case you are suspicious about your lens performance.
Update on photo gallery Len tak…
Today I made a little update on photo gallery “Len tak…” where I added two new photo experiments.
Last weekend I was on a trip outside of Bratislava where I took very nice shot. Near by Ružomberok in the village is a bench in the city park. This title got me. I made just a few steps in postprocess to update color temperatur, lens distortion and light.
Second shot is my very first BW conversion with some vignettting. With postprocessing I added some drama to the shot (subjectively).
For the first time I used Nikon Capture NX2 for postprocessing. Currently I am learning a bit to handle this software. Many times the output is (subjectively) better than from Adobe Camera Raw.
You can watch pictures in gallery “Len tak…“.
New section – discussion board
Today I added new separate section to the blog. It is a discussion board where you can discuss on every thing.

Leto
Dovolenka.
Kým skončí sezóna, ešte by to chcelo nejakú tú turistiku…..
Double Lens Reverse Macro « ProdipX Photography.
Ak sa mi podarí zohnať ten krúžok na prepojenie dvoch objektívov, určite to vyskúšam.
