Battle of prime 50s’
I recommend you to watch a great video made by DigitalRev.com guys. Great comparison (battle?) of prime 50s’ lenses with Nikon F bayonet.
Personally I use one of those lenses which is Nikkor 50 f/1.8 AF-D and I am very satisfied with it. It is a little bit noisy but outdoors (where I shoot mostly) I do not care about that a lot. Worse is to shoot with it inside buildings (like church) where the lens is really noisy and annoying for the rest of the crew. Once I consider this small issue I would prefer to buy newer lens made by Nikon which is Nikkor 50 f/1.4 AF-S. I bought the older one which was much cheaper. Personally it is the best portrait lens for Nikon DX cameras of course if you do not want to spent 350 € for newer Nikkor 50 f/1.4 AF-S. However check the video battle of prime lenses below – Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8 AF-D, Nikkor 50 mm f/1.4 AF-S and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 (HSM?).
Update of photo gallery Len tak…
I have added new photos to gallery Len tak…. Photos were taken last year during trip to the far east of Slovakia – at National park called Poloniny.
Update on photo gallery Len tak…
Today I made a little update on photo gallery “Len tak…” where I added two new photo experiments.
Last weekend I was on a trip outside of Bratislava where I took very nice shot. Near by Ružomberok in the village is a bench in the city park. This title got me. I made just a few steps in postprocess to update color temperatur, lens distortion and light.
Second shot is my very first BW conversion with some vignettting. With postprocessing I added some drama to the shot (subjectively).
For the first time I used Nikon Capture NX2 for postprocessing. Currently I am learning a bit to handle this software. Many times the output is (subjectively) better than from Adobe Camera Raw.
You can watch pictures in gallery “Len tak…“.
